Abstract

Tuberculosis is one of the infectious diseases that often appears as a common complication in people with HIV/AIDS. Indonesia is the country with the second highest number of tuberculosis cases after India, which makes this problem very important to be addressed immediately. This study aims to review the relationship and factors that influence tuberculosis cases in several cities in Indonesia. This method uses a literature review using a literature review from Google Scholar with the keyword tuberculosis risk factors then searching for several articles that are relevant to the topic, filtering the search results to obtain more specific results with a systematic approach to identify and evaluate journals that are relevant to the topic of tuberculosis risk factors. The results were obtained from 8 articles reviewed by the author, Factors related to and influencing tuberculosis cases are environmental factors: lighting, humidity, roof conditions, walls, floors, and housing density. Host factors: age, income, smoking habits, regularity of taking medication, nutritional status, education level, household contacts, comorbidities, knowledge. Conclusion, Factors of tuberculosis incidence in urban areas are from environmental factors that do not support and host. Suggestion, implement a comprehensive education program to increase public knowledge, including prevention methods and the importance of compliance with treatment.
