Good pharmaceutical services require a measurable wait time from the time a patient receives a prescription to the time they receive the medication and information about it, and the entire process follows appropriate pharmaceutical procedures. Waiting time is crucial because it can disrupt patient comfort and satisfaction, especially if it exceeds the minimum service standards (no more than thirty minutes for ready-made/non-compounded medications and sixty minutes for compounded medications). The purpose of this study was to evaluate the wait time for compounded and non-compounded prescription services at Malinau Regional Hospital. This will be conducted through a prospective observational method from December 2024 to January 2025, with the sample divided into compounded and non-compounded prescriptions. The results show that the average wait time for compounded prescriptions (46 minutes 31 seconds) is still below the standard, while the average wait time for non-compounded prescriptions (31 minutes 40 seconds) slightly exceeds the standard. In addition, variations in the average wait time can be seen from the number of medication items, type of membership (general and BPJS), and type of clinic: the Pediatric Clinic has the longest wait time and the Obstetrics Clinic has the shortest wait time. Overall, the compounded prescription services at Malinau Regional Hospital meet the standards of the Indonesian Minister of Health Regulation Number 129 of 2008, but the non-compounded prescription services have not fully met the standards.
