OPTIMALISASI KEBERHASILAN ASI ESKLUSIF DAN PIJAT OKSITOSIN DI DESA TASIKHARJO JENU

The lactation period is a crucial time for both mother and baby, yet many mothers encounter difficulties with breast milk production and let-down. This community service activity aimed to optimize the success of exclusive breastfeeding through education and oxytocin massage training for breastfeeding mothers and their companions. A participatory educational method was employed, encompassing material presentation, practical video tutorials, and consultation sessions. The activity was conducted in May 2025 in Tasikharjo Village, Jenu District, Tuban Regency, involving 15 breastfeeding mothers. The results showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge and skills in performing oxytocin massage, as well as boosting their confidence to apply it independently. Oxytocin massage proved effective in stimulating breast milk production and strengthening the mother-baby emotional bond. Collaboration among health workers, families, and the community, along with the integration of oxytocin massage into maternal and child health programs, is crucial for the sustainability of exclusive breastfeeding practices.
